PASSARINHADA MUSICAL is a musical birdwatching excursion observing Brazilian bird species in a poetic concert experience for all ages.
The group was founded in 2018 in São Paulo to create a musical show inspired in the illustration series Passarinhada Musical by musician and visual artist Matthias Vogt. The group originally features singer and storyteller Thâmile Vidiz on vocals, André Peloso on guitar, Thiago Souza on sax and flute, Carlinhos Ferreira on percussion and Matthias Vogt on piano. The show tells the story of brazilian bird species in songs by well-known composers like Antonio Carlos Jobim, Edu Lobo, Luiz Gonzaga and others as well as some original compositions. A continuous narration leads in a poetic way through landscapes and biomas and invites the spectator for an imaginary journey on the wings of birds.
